Case 04 of 5INVESTOR

Forty submissions, eleven worth reading

Five minutes on day zero, two sentences written once, and an inbox that stayed worth opening.

A worked example, not a customer story. Every figure below describes what the product does today.

Day 0

One link, two channels

Raising a round, and looking for a role. Three questions each, in his words. Then the line for what he will never fund.

Week 1

Forty in, eleven read

The other twenty-nine were not filtered by a model’s opinion of their quality. They were scored against what he said he wanted, and the ones his exclusion line caught scored zero.

Week 2

A founder he likes goes quiet

He does nothing, because it does not feel urgent and he is busy. That night the agent notices the deal has sat past its stage budget. Noticing that did not require reading a word of anyone’s messages.

Week 3

Two agents settle the boring part

A time is picked from slots he had already published. Three messages at most, both sides having separately agreed to it, and then it goes back to the humans whether or not it finished.

The exclusion line, set on day zero

One line for what he will never fund. That line is absolute: anything matching it is scored out before anything else is considered.

In the same week

What it did not do.

He wrote two sentences once. They are still working.

  • Ranked anyone by a model’s opinion of their quality.
  • Let two agents negotiate without a limit. Four questions, three exchanges, then back to the humans.
  • Started an agent conversation before both people had separately agreed to it.
The thinking behind it
